A definite 'must-have' for Playstation 3 Jan 03, 2009 Fun for ALL ages and not that boring kind of 'family fun' thing that usually falls into this category. This game is very difficult in some areas and has enough 'bling' and bonuses to keep you interested for quite awhile. Even if you're a hardcore ps3 gamer, you'll enjoy this one. For me, it reminds me of the old days of Super Mario...and that rocks. =]

Best title on PS3 for any age group. Jan 03, 2009 My kids and I both think this is the best title on the PS3 so far. Gets kudos for innovation and execution. I'm 40 and think this game rates above other highly rated titles like Resistance or Warhawk that the kids aren't allowed to play.
The kids also rate this above games for their Wii as well (I don't care for the Wii, but the kids like it).

It's practically a cult! Jan 02, 2009 Like the reviewer Edward above, I too am mostly a FPS (First Person Shooter) type of guy. Unlike Edward above, I am a frequent gamer (possibly an understatement). I have heard LBP (Little Big Planet) compared to the CLASSIC SMB (Super Mario Brothers), and I must concur. Mark my words, this game is headed for video game history. Do you remember how much fun you had playing SMB? Did you think you had grown out of those "kids" games? Well you haven't, nobody has, there just haven't been any contenders over the past 15 years. LBP is THAT cool. It has all the fun and excitement of the old school games, but new school style. Do you think today's games have too many buttons, and take too long to learn? Have no fear, because LBP has only three basic controls; run, jump, and grab. Sound boring, fear not! Now, if that weren't enough... you can get creative and make your own levels. Hey, I've heard THAT one before, there are plenty of games these days that let you create your own levels... but have you ever actually tried to do so. It's fun, but I felt like I needed to be a computer programmer to REALLY make a level. Not with LBP. Making levels is about as simple as can be. Yes folks, this is it. This is THE PS3 game to get, the VIDEO GAME to get. This one should push the PS3 system right to the top. Down sides, sure, I have read of some censuring of created levels, but there are copyright laws that need to be adhered to (fair or not... it's a legal issue). This game is so much fun it's following is cult like (in a good way :P ).

A reason to buy a PS3 Jan 02, 2009 I received Little Big Planet for Christmas. My wife thought I was crazy but I assured her this game was not just for kids. After owning it for a week I can't keep her off the game. This game is the most fun we have had on our PS3 in awhile. I play lots of games and this one has taken the top spot on my playlist. This is game that everyone can have fun with. Whether your a hardcore gamer or just getting back in the game from the NES era this game is for you!

Great Fun for Everyone Jan 02, 2009 I was very hesitant in purchasing this game since I think $59 is a lot to pay. I am happy I did, however. I have eight kids and my wife and I have been enjoying the game immensely with them. It has been great family time. What is worth noting is that my wife, the boys and girls, and myself have all found it great fun. It seems to appeal to all types of people regardless of age and gender. That is a great accomplishment.
I will note that at first the game seemed a little slow but the more you play it the better and more interesting it seems to become. The graphics are top notch, the physics impressive and the level designs great.
Lastly, I have to point out that some of the music gets a little grating (IMO) and repetitive after a while but you can turn the music off if you are stuck on a level and you just can't stand hearing the same wacky tune looped over and over again.
Overall, I'd say this is one of the best games I've played in years.
